VNOP & CAS Research Days 2025
Researchers in development

The VNOP & CAS Research Days are two interesting and enjoyable days for researchers within the field of developmental psychology or pedagogics.
More about our Research Days →

“Interesting for all researchers within the field of developmental psychology and pedagogics.”

Working as a researcher in the field of developmental psychology or pedagogics? Then you definitely have to register for the VNOP-CAS Research Days! Every year, the Research Days are organized by members of VNOP and CAS. The days provide a unique opportunity for young researchers to develop themselves and to present their work. One day is set up especially for PhD candidates and postdoc researchers. They are welcome to join an interesting and in-depth workshop and learn more about how to develop as a researcher. The other day, a conference is organized for all researchers within the field of developmental psychology or pedagogics. Young researchers (PhD candidates and postdoc researchers) will present their latest work.

Note! You do not have to be a member of VNOP or CAS to join the Research Days. All researchers are welcome!

VNOP-CAS Research Days 2024 – Thank you!

On the 28 and 29 of November, the VNOP-CAS Research Days took place in Utrecht again. During this tenth edition (!), 138 researchers attended this year’s Research Days. Thank you to all for attending and for your participation!

On Thursday, PhDs and post docs attended one of the three workshops and developed their skills as young researchers. How can we share our research with a larger audience? How can we benefit from using Artificial Intelligence in our research? And how can we conduct a single case experiment? After learning the answers to these questions, we got to know each other better through some pizza’s, drinks, and a scientific music bingo (which was spontaneously followed by a karaoke).

On Friday, all researchers in the field of developmental psychology and pedagogics were welcome. The day started with an inspiring keynote lecture by Eddie Brummelman on achievement inequality in children, followed by multiple rounds of paper and poster presenters by our RM students, PhDs and post docs. We ended the conference day with a panel discussion on the topic of diversity and inclusion.

Thank you once again to all who contributed to this successful edition of the VNOP-CAS Research Days.

Hope to see you all next year!
